Visualize an idyllic pond located in a serene countryside. The water, tempered by the daylight, shimmers with soft reflections of the surrounding luscious grass and foliage. On one side, the scene is punctuated by a rustic wooden sign that details the pond's ability to double its algae population every 4 hours. Without citing any specific figures, the sign illustrates the exponential growth of the algae, the first image showing a few algae and subsequent images showing its progressive multiplication. Please remember: the image should contain no text.

2. Suppose that the amount of algae in a pond doubles every 4 hours. If the pond initially contains 90 pounds of algae, how much algae will be in the pond after 12 hours?

A.)720 pounds

B.)360 pounds

C.)1,440 pounds

D.)114 pounds

I think the answer is D.
Please help.
Thank You.

answer is a) 720 lbs thank you

@umm....

There is no way possible you could say cheating now may make someone drop out of college.
One, this person may or may not go to college.
Two, this may just be a question that this person was struggling with. Cheating may be a habit for some but you cannot judge one person by judging another. Ms. Sue may have been trying to help, but she came of very rude stating the answer the way she did. There must be a reason you are here too, where you here looking for the answer as well. Your response is very late, this was over 6 years old.

No one is superior. We are all in 9th grade, and yet some of you are posting comments that a younger person would post. What happened to being mature and responsible? This website is for help, not to cheat. While it may be true that some people use this to cheat, some of us use this when we are struggling and don't understand what we are doing. I came on this website because I did not understand this question. Mrs. Sue broke it down in a simple and easy way. She wasn't being rude, she was just asking how Deborah got her answer. It is hard to perceive how a message is being said online, so it is best to take it in a polite manner. Now that I said all that, I hope you all have a great day and get a good grade. Good luck everyone. :)
