Homework Help: Math 8 - HELP!

7 times a number decreased by 4 is the same as 6 plus twice that number

my answer - 7n - 4 = 6 + 2n

am i correct and can you help me solving it, please!!! thank you! :)

Yes, your equation is correct.

7n - 4 = 6 + 2n

7n - 2n = 6 + 4

9n = 10

n = 10/9 = 1 1/9
