Math 8 HELP! Reiny, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 10:00pm
slope = (26)/(11) = 8/2 = 4
then
y6 = 4(x1) , using the point (1,6)
y6 = 4x  4
y = 4x + 2
test using the point which was not used, (1,2)
LS = y = 2
RS = 4x + 2 = 4(1) + 2 = 2 = LS
all looks good
other forms, which can be found by just rearranging, are
4x  y + 2 = 0
or
4x  y = 2
