I need help finding discounts and sales tax. Please write out the steps so I fully can undestand the concept
Thank You!!

You buy a shirt for $19.99. The sales tax is 6.5%.
Step 1:
Change 6.5% to its equivalent decimal by moving the decimal point two places to the left.
6.5% = 0.065
2. Multiply the cost of the shirt by 0.065.
19.99 * 0.065 = 1.299 = $1.30 tax
3. To find the total cost,
Add 19.99 + 1.30 = ?
