HELP

I did

translate and simplify"six less than twice the sum of a number and three"

choices are

A)-2x

b)2x

c)-2x+9

d)2x-3

I set it up

2(x+3)-6

2x+6-6

answer=2x

My friend did

2x+3-6

getting 2x-3

Please help on which set up is correct.

We both really appreciate it. Thanks

**Ashli**, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 4:14pmYou are right because you have to have the number plus three together before you can figure out what twice the sum of the 2 numbers is.
