shane has won 24 baseball and,soccer trophies.the number of trophies he has for each activity is,a multiple of 6. he has more soccer trophies than baseball trophies.how many of each type of trophy does shane have?

let the number of baseball trophies be 6x and the number of soccer trophies be 6y

6x + 6y = 24
x+y = 4
since y > x
y = 3, x = 1

so he has 18 soccer trophies and 6 baseball trophy
