In the year 2000,approximately 169,000,000 personal cmputers were used in the US. What is this number expressed in scientific notation?
I moved the decimal point 8 times to the left so
My answer I got was 1.69x 10to the 8th.
Is this correct

that is correct
normally written as

1.69*10^8 or 1.69E8
