A lorry of mass 1000kg moving initially at 10m/s increases to 25m/s. In 5sec the impluse on the lorry is 15,000Ns; calculate

1. Acceleration

2.The distance covered.

impulse=mass(vf-vi)

force*time=15000

calculate force

then

force=mass*acceleration solve for acceleration

vf^2=vi^2+2ad solve for d
