Homework Help: math

Posted by b6 on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 7:02am.

Which of the values is in the solution set for the inequality
-8-7x>6
It is multiple choice
A=-1
b=-2
c=-3
d=2
I did this: -8-7x>6
add 8 to each side
-7x>14
-7/-7>14/-7
x<-2
since it is less then -2 should the answer be c=-3
The way they ask the question I am not sure if the answer is b or c
Thanks
