**Henry**, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 9:37pm2. Eq1: Y = x+6.

Eq2: Y = 2x.

In Eq1, replace Y with 2x and solve for X.

2x = x+6.

2x-x = 6

X = 6.

In Eq2, replace X with 6 and solve for Y.

Y = 2*6 = 12.

Solution Set: (x,y) = (6,12).

3. Y = 3x - 6.
