double the first
6x + 10y = 30.6
6x + 2y = 16.2 , the second
now subtract them
8y = 14.4
y = 1.8
back in first
3x + 5(1.8) = 15.3
3x = 6.3
x = 2.1
x=2.1 , y=1.8
