Gold is indeed a very old element, and it has been known to humans for thousands of years. The exact person who first discovered gold is not known, as it predates recorded history. However, gold is often associated with ancient civilizations and was commonly used in jewelry, religious artifacts, and as a form of currency.

To find more detailed information about the discovery of gold, you can look for historical texts, archaeological findings, or scientific research articles. These sources may provide insights into the earliest instances of gold usage by ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians, Mesopotamians, and Greeks.

Additionally, exploring resources that focus on the history of gold mining can help you understand how the extraction and utilization of gold developed over time. It is important to consider that the discovery of gold could have occurred independently in different regions around the world, as it is a naturally occurring element.

While it is challenging to pinpoint the exact date and person who discovered gold, researching ancient cultures and the historical development of gold usage will give you a better understanding of its significance throughout human history.
