Help! I cannot figure out how to do this and my teacher does not explain things very well! The question is- An image is 16 in. You want to make a copy that is similar. Its longer side will be 38 in. The copy costs $.60 per square inch, Estimate the copy's total cost.

*What is the approximate length of the shorter side of the copy?

*What is the approximate are of the copy?

P.S. Please explain how you got the answer!

you have only given us one side of the image. To figure the cost, you need the area, which is length x width.
