(2 raise to 5/2 .(the dot means times) 2 raise to 3/4 divided by 2 raise to 1/4)th

How old is his son?

N = 2^(5/2) * 2^(3/4)/2^(1/4).
N = 2^(13/4)/2^(1/4) = 2^(12/4)=2^3=8.
