A rental car agency charges $50 plus .25 cents per mile to rent a car. How many miles can you drive for $400? How many miles can you drive for $300

a. X = The # of miles driven.
C = 025x + 50 = $400.
0.25x + 50 = 400
0.25x = 400 - 50 = 350
X = 1400 Miles.

b. Use same procedure as for "a."
