For english class, I have to read a biography/autobiography of an author and then read two of the author's books that have been influenced by their real life.

I chose F. Scott Fitzgerald as my author. I want to read The Great Gatsby as one of the books, but I'm not sure which of his novels should be my 2nd.

If anyone could tell me another one of his books that is influenced by his life & whether it's a good read, I would really appreciate your opinion!

THANKS! :D

To find another book by F. Scott Fitzgerald that is influenced by his real life, you can consider reading "Tender Is the Night". This novel draws heavily on Fitzgerald's personal experiences and relationships, including his own marriage and struggles with alcoholism. It explores the themes of wealth, love, and the disintegration of dreams, much like "The Great Gatsby".

As for whether it is a good read, that can be subjective and depends on personal preference. However, "Tender Is the Night" is regarded as one of Fitzgerald's finest works and is often praised for its beautifully written prose and complex characters. Many readers find it a compelling and engaging read.

If you're interested in exploring Fitzgerald's life further, you can also consider reading his autobiography "The Crack-Up" and his collection of essays and articles called "The Crack-Up". These offer insights into his personal struggles and writing career.

Remember, it's always a good idea to read reviews or summaries of the book before making a final decision. Happy reading!
