Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the line that satisfies the following condition.
passes through (11, –15) and (16, 5)

algebra 2 - Reiny, Friday, November 30, 2012 at 10:24am
slope = (5 -(-15))/(16-11) = 20/5 = 4

so the equation is y = 4x + b
but (16,5) lies on it, then

5 = 4(16) + b
b =-59

y = 4x - 59
