Can someone tell me what is the differences between public relation and legal ethics?

i know there is, lawyer practise in court of aw where there is fairness and equal representation while PR work in court of opinion.

Lawyers advise clients on what they must legally do to defend themselves in the court of law while pr advises clients on what they must do to defend themselves in the court of public opinion

Lawyers advises you to say nothing and say it slowly while pr , you go to public early.

Law tells us what we must do whereas ethics tells us what should we do.

This question is for 7 marks..it is worthy to be 7 marks??

THanks in adance.

Yes, the differences you have mentioned are accurate. However, to further elaborate on the differences between public relations (PR) and legal ethics, you can consider the following points:

1. Focus and Purpose:
- PR focuses on managing and maintaining the reputation and image of an individual, organization, or brand in the public eye.
- Legal ethics, on the other hand, pertains to the professional conduct and responsibilities of lawyers in upholding ethical standards while practicing law.

2. Target Audience:
- PR primarily targets the general public, consumers, stakeholders, and media outlets.
- Legal ethics primarily concern the relationship between lawyers and their clients, the courts, and the legal profession as a whole.

3. Guidance and Regulation:
- PR professionals typically follow recognized industry standards and best practices for managing public perception, reputation, and communication.
- Legal ethics are guided by specific ethical codes and rules established by legal bar associations, governing bodies, and legal systems.

4. Objective and Outcome:
- The objective of PR is to influence public opinion, build positive relationships, and enhance public trust in an individual, organization, or brand.
- The objective of legal ethics is to ensure fairness, justice, and adherence to ethical standards in the practice of law. The outcome should include equal representation, protection of client rights, and compliance with legal and ethical obligations.
