Intrustions: Solve the equation. Round to the nearest tenth if necessary.
Steve anyone help
these are all basically the same. Here's #5. It should help you on the others:
3(x-4) = 5(x-2)
expand to remove parentheses:
3x-12 = 5x+10
collect the x stuff on one side:
-2x = 22
divide by the coefficient of x: -2
x = -11
finally, check your answer!
3(-11-4) = 5(-11+2)
3(-15) = 5(-9)
-45 = -45
if you get stuck on the others, come on back and show how far you got.
ok so check my answers:
1. b
2. d
3. a
4. c
1. ok
2. ok
3. ok
4. ok
as you could verify by plugging those values into the equations.
That was easy thanks
it's always easy if you know what you're doing.
even so, there are lots of problems where the steps are easy, but you have to watch the details.
Ok.
looks hard.
it is
Yay for steve!
