The yearbook club is having a bake sale to raise money for the senior class. Large cupcakes are sold for $1.25 each and small cupcakes are sold for $0.75 each. If 105 cupcakes were sold for a total amount of $109.75, how many large cupcakes did the yearbook club sell? (1 point)

x+y=105
1.25x+.75y=109.75

large=x=62
small=y=43
so, (c)

did you check your answer?
62*1.25 = 77.50
43*.75 = 32.25

your answer does not fit. You obviously got the large and small mixed up. Always double-check your results to make sure you are assigning the correct values to the variables.
