Before the 7-Newton force is applied:
Fn = 17 - 10 = 7 N. = Net force to the right.
After the 7-Newton force is applied:
Fn = 17-10-7 = 17 - 17 = 0. = Net force.
Conclusion: Since the net force is now 0, the object stops.
