Homework Help: Math 8R - Operating with Scientific Notation HELP!

Rhode Island is the smallest state. It has an area of approximately 1.55 x10 (to the 3rd power) square miles. Alaska is the largest state. The area of Alaska is 4.28 x 10 (to the 2nd power) times greater than the area of Rhode Island. What is the approximate area of Alaska in square miles?

(4.28 x 10 to the 2nd power) x (1.55 x 10 to the 3rd power)

I know how this process works. The equation I type above is correct, right?
