Help!!! On a blue print scale 1/2 inch = 10 feet. How do I figure out the actual width of the living room whose distance is 3/4 inches

Math
Ms. Sue,
One way to figure it out is to let x = the actual width. Cross multiply and solve for x.
(1/2) / 10 = (3/4) / x
30/4 = (1/2)x
(30/4)/(1/2) = x
(30/4) * (2/1) = 60/4 = 15 feet

Math
Ms. Sue,
Here's another way to approach this problem.
1/2 inch = 10 ft.
1 inch = 20 ft.
3/4 * 20 = 15 feet
I'm retired.
