Homework Help: 8th grade social studies

Hi,
I am doing a paper for school and I need to know what are some Negative and Positive Impacts of the Telegraph? I know some positives but I really need help with the negative effect of the telegraph. Can you please give me 2 or 3 positive and negative impacts/effects? Thanks!

This has impacted on the American life positively that it globalizes the world, allowing the world to communicate much more. The negatives about it are that it takes a semi communist perspective. It helped with the rise of big business, which led to monopolies. Moreover led to difficult labor conditions.
