Justin wants to build a multi media room. 1/2 of the room will be for a home movie theater. 1/2 of the home theater will have comfy seats. The comfy seats will take up 24 m.

1. Draw the room and label all the areas

2. What are all the possible dimensions of the comfy seat area?

3. What is the perimeter of the home movie theater section?

4. what is the area of the entire multi media room?

assuming you want integer dimensions,

24 = 1x24 or 2x12 or 3x8 or 4x6

The question is rather ill-posed. Say the comfy area is 3x8. Is the theater 3x16 or 6x8?

The perimeter could be 38 or 28.

Same problem for other choices.

At any rate, the room is 4*24 = 96m^2
