so the x-intercepts are 0 and -12
and the x of the vertex must be halfway between those intercepts
x of vertex is -6
then y = 36 - 6(12) = -36
vertex is ((-6,-36), opens up, and has x-intercepts of 0 and -12
domain: obviously any value of x
range: y ≥-36
