Why did some Americans advocate isolationism?

They thought Europe should deal with its own problems
The U.S. was still reeling from the Great Depression and couldn't afford to get involved
The Monroe Doctrine forbade intervention in foreign wars
They didn't wish to repeat the experience of WWI
