a line has a constant slope.
So, for any point (x,y), the slope of the line between (-5,1) and (x,y) is the same as the slope from (-5,1) and (-3,0). So,
(y-1)/(x+5) = (0-1)/(-3+5) = -1/2
y = -1/2 (x+5) + 1
