a blue box have 5 times as many marbles as a red box. the blue box has 24 more marbles than a red box. how many marbles are in each bx?

number of marbles in red box --- x
number of marbles in blue box -- 5x

"the blue box has 24 more marbles than a red box" ---> 5x = x+24
4x=24
x=6

red box has 6
blue box has 30
