1. Venus's surface temperature is ____ than Earth's surface temperature.

isn't the answer hotter because Venus has a denser atmosphere, so the temperature would be higher?

YES you are right ...Venus' atmosphere consists mainly of Co2 (Carbon dioxide), while Earth's atmosphere is Co2 and oxygen. Co2 is much denser than oxygen, so it holds more heat from the sunlight.
