2(4-d+2d) = 12
8 - 2d + 4d = 12
2d = 12 - 8
2d = 4
d = 2
First multiply the 2 on the left hand side with each item in the brackets.
2*4 - 2*d + 2*2d = 12
8 - 2d + 4d = 12
Now add all the similar terms on left hand side. i.e 2d & 4d
8+4d = 12 now subtract 8 from both sides
8-8+4d = 12-8
4d = 4
d = 1
If I helped you then reply and Thank me or appreciate it .
Please check your arithmetic. I think my answer is right -- but I'm not absolutely sure.
Sorry i made a mistake .
Its 8 + 2d = 12
2d = 4
d = 2
thanks
You're welcome.
