Homework Help: Math

Ms. Kenny grew 3/5 as many zinnias as Mr. Hadam. If Ms. Kenny has 12 zinnias, how many zinnias do they have in all.

I calculated that they have 20 zinnias total. Am I correct.

let the number that Hadam has be x

(3/5)x = 12
3x = 60
x = 20

So Hadam has 20, and Kenny has 12 , so together they have 32
