on monday 1/5 of the students went on a field trip. on tuesday 5/8 of the students that didn't go on monday had the opportunity to go. what is the fraction of students that didn't go?

tuesday, (5/8)(4/5)x went
or (1/2)x went

so 1/2 did not go
