Turtles and tickets?????
Sorry, combined 2 separate questions :(
Francine & Leah caught 68 turtles in the creek on Saturday and 67 turtles on sunday. How many turtles did they catch on the weekend? Estimate using only the fron digits.
70 + 70 = 140

That is the answer that I got, but my answer is not an option. The answers I have to choose from is 130 turtles, 150 turtles, 120 turtles and 110 turtles.
Your answer choices are wrong.
Your instructions are to use front-end estimation. The only possible answer is 130.
Note that the actual answer is 135 which rounds to 140.
Please talk with your teacher about this faulty question.
The only possible answer is 140.
Thank you Ms. Sue. I do that.
You're welcome, Susan.
Is it possible you copied the problem wrong?
