A camp cook found a recipe for scones that makes 18 scones. The recipe calls for 3 cups of buttermilk in the dough plus 2 fluid ounces of buttermilk to brush on top of the scones.The cook is out of buttermilk.How many quart containers of buttermilk does the cook need to buy to make 90 scones?

1 cup=16 fl oz.
1 scone requires 18 fl oz.
1 qt=2 pts.
1 pt=2 cups.
So 1 qt=4 cups.
1 qt=64 fl oz.
90 scones require 1620 fl oz of buttermilk.
1620/64=21.3125, so the cook must buy 22 quarts of buttermilk.

Answer: 22
