1) Or I will become engulfed with all I did or I did not do, with what should have been and what cannot be helped

2) You do not guess how new and uneasy her tenancy in her nowloveliness

3) I would start running as soon as i got off the street car, running up the stairs,....

4) What in me demanded that goodness in her? And what was the cost, the cost to her of such goodness?

5) Twice, only twice, when I had to get up for Susan anyhow, I went in to sit with her

1) The first quote reflects a sense of regret and reflection on past actions or missed opportunities. The person is torn between the things they did or did not do, the longing for what should have been, and accepting the things they cannot change.

2) The second quote seems to describe someone's observation or perception of another person's newfound beauty. The term "nowloveliness" suggests that this person has recently become beautiful, but the observer finds it unusual or unfamiliar.

3) The third quote suggests a sense of urgency or eagerness in the narrator's actions. They intend to start running immediately after getting off the street car, racing up the stairs or similar.

4) In the fourth quote, the speaker questions what part of themselves attracted or desired the goodness they saw in another person. They also ponder the potential consequences or sacrifices the other person may have made to exhibit such goodness.

5) The fifth quote talks about an experience where the narrator had to wake up for Susan, implying that there is someone else involved. They mention going inside to sit with that person. Without more context, it's difficult to decipher the full meaning of this quote.

Remember, when interpreting quotes or any form of literature, it's essential to consider the context in which they appear. Additional information surrounding the quotes could provide further understanding and aid in formulating your thoughts on what these quotes mean to you.
