Q) Hasan buys two kinds of cloth materials for school uniforms, shirt material costs him Rs 50 per metre and trouser materia l costs him Rs 90 per meter. For every 2 meters of the trouser material he buys 3 meters of shirt material. He sells that material at12% and 10% profit respectively. His total sale is Rs36,660. How much trouser material did he buy?

profit on shirt material: 10% of 50 = 5.00/meter
profit on trouser: 12% of 90 = 10.8/meter

If he buys s meters of shirt, t meters of trouser, then

2s = 3t
1.10s + 1.12t = 36660

Hmmm. I expected to get integer values, but did not. Better check my math and the problem.
