Jarrod wants to save $245 to buy a Wii gaming system. If he was saving $35 each month, how long would it take him to have the needed money?
7 months?

The border between Texas and Mexico is 248 miles. If there are 32 countries along the border, about how many border miles are in each county?
39 miles?

the first is correct.

The second is bogus.
Even assuming that each county has the same border length, how ever did you get 39 miles?
