As it passes over Grand Bahama Island, the
eye of a hurricane is moving in a direction 62
north of west with a speed of 98 km/h. Three
hours later, it shifts due north, and its speed
slows to 30 km/h.
How far from Grand Bahama is the eye 4.50
h after it passes over the island?
Answer in units of km

1st 3 hours: (0,0) to (-46.0,86.5)
next 1.5 hours it moves an additional (0,45.0)

so, it winds up at (-46.0,131.5)

d = √(46^2 + 131.5^2) = 139.3
