Homework Help: geometry

I was assiged a 44 question assigment and I really need some help.I'm stuck on this question:
"Find the coordinates of S for RS if Q is the midpoint and R is an endpoint.
Q(-6,-5),R(-4,4)

geometry - Reiny, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 10:45pm
let the other endpoint be (x,y)

then (x-4)/2 = -6
x-4 = -12
x = -8

(y+4)/2 = -5
y+4 = -10
y = -14

the other endpoint is (-8,-14)

check by taking the midpoint between
(-8,-14) and (-4,4)
