Homework Help: Math

Posted by Brandi on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 7:03pm.

Getting stumped on this word problem. It is in the section of GCF. It says, "there are 14 baseball teams in the American League and 16 teams in the National League. There are 30 National Hocky League teams. If equal groups of teams are formed, how many hocky teams will be in each group?" The answer choices are a. 3 hocky teams, b. 8 hocky teams, c. 7 hocky teams, or d. 15 hocky teams. When I do the GCF I get 2. Not sure what to do from here. Would that mean 2 equal groups and then since there are 30 hocky teams the answer would be 15? Not sure that I'm looking at this correctly. Thanks.
