I need help setting this problem up? AT&T one rate 10cents nation wide direct plan for $2.99 a month plus 10cents per minute.
Quest 5cent long distance plan for $4.99 per month plus 5cents per minute. For what number of minutes per month will the two plans cost the same?

for m minutes,

AT&T: 2.99 + .10m
Quest: 4.99 + .05m

when are they equal? That would be when they are equal:

2.99 + .10m = 4.99 + .05m
m = 40
