Resistivity ( ρ )doesn’t depend on the length and area; it depends on the properties of the substance and temperature. Resistance depends on ρ, L, and A as
R1= ρ •L/A
R2=ρ•2L/(A/2)=4 •ρ•L/A=4•R1
