well, here are a few ideas

4 - 4 + 4/4 = 1

4/4 + 4/4 = 2

(4+4+4)/4 = 3

(4+4)/4 + 4 = 6

4 + 4 - 4/4 = 7

4*4/4 + 4 = 8
