Can you please check these sentences, Writeacher? Thank you.


1) We have been waiting here nearly three hours (Can you omit "for"?)
2) “I’ve spent all my pocket money on this book!” (Sally/exclaim).
She exclaimed she had spent all her pocket money on that book.
3) He said that he had been waiting for the bus for an hour.
She recommended that I read that book.
Peter told his mum that he had gone on a school trip.

    1. Yes, "for" can be omitted or kept in -- either way works.
