What are your choices? What is your answer?
Please note -- I think that whatever the answer -- it's wrong. Children vary greatly and a formula such as this cannot be applied to every child.
Just because a child has a birthday, her appetite and food needs don't automatically increase. What do you say to two children, close in age, who complain because one of them gets more snacks than the other?
