Homework Help: U.S. GOVERNMENT

1)A government where the executive of the nation comes directly from the legislature is known as a parliamentary government, meaning the legislature decides who the nation's top executive is (although there is often a separate ceremonial head of state).

2)A government where sovereignty (the power to rule) rests directly with the people is known as representative democracy

3)A government controlled by one person but not held responsible to the will of the people is known as a dictatorship

4)A government where power is divided between a central location and several regional locations is known as an anarchy government

5)In the U.S., we are a representative democracy, or a government where sovereignty (the power to rule) rests with groups who reflect the will of the people, meaning that our voters elect people who are then supposed to reflect what the people of America want.
