For a certain year, a ski resort averaged d dollars per week in receipts
for its 20-week season. If the resort was closed for w weeks during the
season because of lack of snow and earned no money during those
weeks, how much money did it earn per week, on the average, during
those weeks it was in operation?

total for 20-week season: 20d

if closed for w weeks, then it was only operating for 20-w weeks.

So, the average take per operating week was 20d/(20-w)
