i looked on the top of my book and it says 75 years.

OK. Let's take 75 years.
Here's your original problem:
it is estimated that in an average lifetime a person watches about 105,000 hours of TV.
at this rate, about how many hours per day does a person watch TV?
75 * 365 * 24 = 657,000 hours
105,000 / 657,000 = 0.159 hours = about 10 minutes a day.
This doesn't seem right, does it?
Please check your figures again or ask your teacher to help you.
