After reading this ad
(primer $10.99,paint is $14.50)a decorator bought 1 gal. of paint,
1 gal. of primer and a brush. If the cost was $30.44, find the cost of the brush.
I did rate*base=amount(r)the unknown (b) is $30.44 (a)$25.49 the total of the paint and primer. then I subtract $25.49 from itself and $30.44 and now Im stuck,, Help me please

    The total cost was $30.44

    The difference must be the cost of the brush.

    30.44 - 25.49 = $4.95 >> cost of brush.
